HOME COOKING CLASS IN KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia

Malaysian food is a fascinating blend of cuisine which is unique because of its rich history being a delectable fusion of diverse cultures, predominantly Malay, Chinese and Indian..  The fantastically varied dishes are appealing to a wide range of palates. With the emphasis on taste, one can be totally intoxicated with the rich layer of spices often residing in the same dish.

 

Home-cooked food is something to be savoured. The flavours and taste of the creations remain in the inner recesses of the mind, unforgotten and you will have wonderful ‘yummy’ memories.

Now you have the opportunity to take home this experience and knowledge. Besides, learning to prepare Malaysian home-cooked food, you will also get an interesting insight into the culture and social structure of the country. The atmosphere of camaraderie is excellent; you will get to mingle with other visitors to the country as well as friendly residents and expatriates simply eager to learn to cook.

Spend half a day with us starting from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, including lunch, Mondays to Saturdays except on Malaysian Public Holidays. The classes, conducted in English, will be kept small between 3 to 10 guests to ensure proper supervision. 

Guests will be allotted individual fully equipped cooking stations and you will cook your food with lots of assistance. And no washing up!!!

 

Take the rare hands-on experience of cooking in a Malaysian home environment using traditional stone and wooden utensils in a modern kitchen. All the necessities will be provided from the cooking utensils, stove and aprons. You will cook using fresh ingredients bought from the local markets.

Importantly, learn to cook a variety of traditional and special festive Malay, Chinese and Indian dishes. Pointers will be given on Malaysian cooking etiquette as well as some valuable tips and tricks of authentic Malaysian dishes. Precious family recipes passed down from generation to generation will be shared as well as the finer details of preparing the dishes.

 

The cost of one class/menu is RM170.00 per person. Free transport from Pick up points from central Kuala Lumpur to Cooking Class Center can be arranged. .
